The Movies

These are big files and using a regular modem, it will take quite a long time to download.

If you have your computer set up to download this type of file (.avi), you can just click on the button and it will download and play. If not, you can right click on the movie button you want to download and in your browser choose either "Save Target as" or "Save Link as." When they've been downloaded, click on them and they should play with Windows Media Player or whichever player you use.

The movies were taken in poor lighting and are dark but you can hear the voices.

Marian

(This is the first part of the tribute to Marian at graduation.

I could only record three minutes on my camera.)

Marian was very supportive over the last four years and had great courage. She could have been in a much higher paying position, but she chose to do her psychiatry residency, because to help people emotionally made her happy. Marian was a very compassionate, thoughtful, sensitive, and unselfish person. It gave her joy to be able to help others, and she never saw it as a burden to spend extra hours helping others (loved ones as well as patients). When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, she went out of her way to help us through that difficult time, and not only brought us educational information and resources, but also brought us little gifts which brightened our day! She made it very clear that she loved her family dearly, and frequently commented with little anecdotes about her little nieces and nephews. She made the world a kinder place, and though the world is lesser without her, her kindness and compassion will carry on through all those whom she has helped (and there were many of us).

-- Debbie

The tears fall down my cheeks, dropping one by one onto my blouse. I only met her one time, but she gave me books, books with resources for breast cancer, marking page after page for me. Still grieving from the loss of her sister to breast cancer, Marian now did all she could to help and support Debbie as she traveled through this valley of sadness. Her kindness will be remembered forever.
